At Modest Needs we all too frequently observe how catastrophic, unavoidable events can derail the lives of responsible, dedicated, hard-working individuals. Today's Application of the Day comes from a man who lost the tools necessary to practice his trade in a fire. His story is below. Please help this craftsman get back to the job he loves:
I am furniture maker who recently lost all his tools in a fire. I live with my dog in a single bedroom apartment. I live a simple life.
On November 3rd, 2011 a fire destroyed all of my woodworking tools. I lost everything. The owner of the building had told me when I rented the space that my belonging were covered under their insurance policy. They changed their policy a few year ago and I didn't find out until after the fire. I need help buying sanders, a router, a saw, and other hand tools. I desperately need help replacing them.
I had to use all of the money in my savings account to buy materials lost in the fire but do not have enough to replace all the essential items. I do not make much money at what I do. I make furniture because I love to make it. I need help to get back on my feet and fulfill my obligations to customers. If I cannot replace these tools I could lose the clients I already have and end up with a bad reputation as someone who cannot get jobs done in time. A bad reputation could cost me the only livelihood I have.
I have not slept through the night since the fire. I was already in a tough place financially before the fire, and now I am teetering on the edge.
This funding will give me the tools to rebuild my business. With the funding I will begin the long road of rebuilding my shop by acquiring the tools to make furniture again. I will not let myself be caught off guard by disaster again and will take out a policy to cover the tools that I will buy with this funding to prevent such a disaster from repeating itself. Thank you so much for considering my request.

A good reference to consider and I think there are several ways or information about this matter but I must consider this great information that I can use for future needs and I think more people also consider this good tool.
