God Bless you for all the kindness you bring to lives of others. In this busy world, often people tend to forget those in need. It takes a very special person to think of a way to help others in need, and then a group of very special people to keep it the program going!

Thank you so very much for these kind words, Louann. As this blog will probably make clear, I really can't express how much they mean to me personally, and to the entire Modest Needs community. Welcome!

Mucho mazel, Keith!

I've just written an article on my own blog, explaining why I think your blog is such a great idea.

Warm regards from Deborah

I just wanted to say Hello. I am so glad that I found your blog and I wanted to start reading your blog from the beginning and that's why I'm posting a comment here. I do a lot of grant work and a lot of research about grants and its always inspiring to find new places on the Internet that connects us all.

What a wonderful and fascinating organization!

I have created a non-profit online jewelry store. My customers are given the option of choosing the charity that they would like to receive 25% of the purchase price of the item they buy. Of 100% gross sales, 25% goes directly to charity, 50 % goes to restocking merchandise, 20% goes to website maintenance and advertising, office supplies, etc. and just 5% goes to labor. Please visit my site at We do not yet have the tax status, "non-profit" but we are working on it.

We are also working on getting donations of jewelry from other jewelry stores, both brick and mortar and online stores, in hopes of reducing the cost of our inventory so that we can contribute an even larger percentage of our gross sales to charity.

I would like to know if your organization would be interested in linking to my site and vice versa.

Please email me at with your reply. Thank you and have a blessed day.
