In doing some reading about the situation in the Gulf region I discovered that the Italian version of Vogue recently released an issue with a cover and editorial spread that shows a model on oil-soaked rocks, her hair matter, apparently suffering and looking like a stuck bird.

What do you think? Is this art bringing awareness to an important cause? Or a highly inappropriate exploitation of the tragedy in the Gulf?
Is this sort of disaster the sort of thing that should be used for selling high end clothing and jewelry? Or is this harmless photography with a theme?
