I think it's a great idea. Kudo's to the founders. Those "pay day" loans, and the title loans, get people in serious trouble. People borrow from these type of places because they are desperate...usually needing fund to pay the rent, or a utility bill, or an unexpected expense like a car repair or emergency dental care. Because of their dire circumstances, they are taken advantage of by these companies who charge astronomical interest rates. Many people have lost their only form of transportation to title loans. Sad! At least with this ZestCash, they can set the payments up to six months out so it lowers the weekly payment to something they can more likely afford.

Funny, I was just thinking about this type of thing but in connection with Modest Needs. I think it would be great if Modest Needs could offer this alternative. Sometimes you just need a few bucks to tide you over to payday or for that unexpected car repair. I've been out of work for a while now and I've been tempted to apply for help from Modest Needs, but when I read the applications, I feel like I am not as bad off as some of the ones you help but if I could borrow an amount to be paid back over a few months, I would apply.
