This is a great idea. My New Year's resolution last year was to start a gratitude journal. I found it helpful to make it a habit, every night writing down five things I was grateful for. It's also nice to have that as the last thing you do before you close your eyes because it helps to break that habit of laying there reflecting on your worries, to-do list, things you should have said (or shouldn't have said), etc. Instead what's on your mind is what you're grateful for.
