T-Shirt Slogan Contest Winner Announced

The time has arrived. The winner of the best slogan idea for the Modest Needs T-Shirt Slogan contest has been decided by our fine cast and crew here at the MN office. And the winner is...

"Nobody chooses poverty. Don't let it choose them."

We chose this slogan written by Modest Needs community member "tdv" because it simply and effectively expresses our mission in words that make a tremendous impact.

Well done, tdv!

We'll be creating t-shirts with this slogan on the front which we will give away in the future (as prizes for contests, gifts for donors, etc.), and tdv gets one for free. It is his slogan, after all. But better than that, we are giving tdv 100 Modest Needs points to allot to applicants however he or she chooses. Good stuff all the way around.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a slogan idea for our contest. We had a tough time choosing, and were overwhelmed by all the amazing ideas. You rock.

Your Ideas are Awesome! Thanks for your Slogan Submissions.

We asked, and you provided! Modest Needs held a T-Shirt Slogan Contest during the month of May in which we asked our community to contribute new slogan ideas for a limited edition t-shirt we plan to print. The person who contributes the best dlogan idea (as determined by the staff) would receive a t-shirt with their slogan on the front as well as 100 Modest Needs points to use to change the life of a stranger in need.

We put out the call, and you came with the answers. Lots of them!

We are in the midst of t-shirt slogan contest where we want your ideas about what our new Modest Needs gear should say. The contest runs for the entire month of May, and you can submit as many ideas for Modest Needs slogans as you'd like--no limit to how often you can enter. At the end of the month our staff will select the best t-shirt slogan idea. The person with the best idea will get a free t-shirt with their slogan on the front, as well as 100 Modest Needs points to allot as they choose.

We have already gotten some amazing responses to our on this blog, Facebook and Twitter. Really solid ideas. And it is thrilling to see people involved with spreading the word about the Modest Needs mission.

I am so excited to see the slogan ideas that I hope will continue to roll in throughout the month. If you haven't yet submitted an idea for a slogan or short message for our Modest Needs t-shirts, then don't be shy! And for those who have already submitted good ideas, keep 'em coming. YOU DECIDE: Modest Needs' T-Shirt Slogan Contest

You're clever. You're funny. You're creative. So, who better to ask than you?

Modest Needs is creating a special edition t-shirt, and we want you to decide what it should say. That's right: we're putting our charity's motto in your hands.

Fifty fashionable, limited-edition shirts (designed by the talented lady hard at work on our website's redesign) will be printed, all of which will feature a tagline or motto written by one of our Modest Needs community members, to be given out as promotions or prizes.

Do you have the best idea for what our t-shirts should say? If so, you'll recieve a t-shirt with your stellar slogan on the front, as well as 100 Modest Needs points to donate to the cause of your choice. Oh, and did I mention bragging rights?

All you have to do is leave your idea for what the Modest Needs t-shirts should say in the comments below. You can enter as many slogan ideas as you'd like. We'll accept slogan ideas for 30 days, after which time we will choose the winner. Simple!

The only guidelines on what the t-shirts should say is that it should succinctly describe what Modest Needs does. You can use our existing website taglinge, "Small Change. World of Difference.," as a jumping off point. Be as creative as you can!
